Super Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 large apples, peeled and thinly sliced
    2/3 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    pinch of nutmeg
Preparation
    In a skillet, combine apples, sugar and 1/2 cup water.
    Bring to simmer over medium heat.
    Cover and cook 5 minutes.
    In a small bowl, dissolve cornstarch in a 1/4 cup of water; stir into apple mixture.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cook, stirring occasionally for 2 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in butter, cinnamon and nutmeg. Put this in a pie shell and bake in oven at 350\u00b0 until crust is golden.
    Serve warm with scoop of vanilla ice cream.
