Popovers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation
    Mix and
    sift
    flour
    and salt.
    Combine eggs, milk and shortening; gradually
    add
    to
    flour mixture, beating about 1 minute or
    until batter is smooth.
    Fill greased, sizzling hot pans 3/4 full
    and
    bake
    in
    very
    hot
    oven
    (450\u00b0) about 20 minutes; reduce heat
    to 350\u00b0 and continue baking for 15 or 20 minutes.
    Very good served with chicken salad for lunch or any time.
    Cut top
    off
    popover
    and fill with salad or fill with pudding for dessert.
