Gladys' Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
5 eggs, beaten
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. lemon
Preparation

Cream the butter, sugar and Crisco until sugar dissolves.
Add beaten eggs.
Sift together the flour and baking powder.
Add flour and milk alternately to preceeding mixture.
Add flavorings. Place in cold stove and turn oven to 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
