Fusilli With Seafood Sauce(Recipe From Nina) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
    1/2 c. finely chopped onion
    2 tsp. minced garlic
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. freshly ground pepper
    1/8 to 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
    2 cans (14 oz. each) Italian plum tomatoes with juice, chopped
    1 doz. clams, scrubbed or 1 lb. chopped clams
    12 oz. sea scallops
    1/3 c. chopped, fresh basil
    1 lb. fusilli, cooked according to pkg. directions
Preparation
    Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
    Add onion and garlic.
    Cook, stirring frequently, until translucent, about 2 minutes.
    Stir in salt, pepper and red pepper flakes, then add tomatoes with juice.
    Increase heat to medium-high and simmer sauce, uncovered, 10 minutes.
    Stir in clams, scallops and basil. Cover and cook 5 minutes.
    Serves 6.
