Chili Con Carne - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter or bacon drippings
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 1/4 c. minced onion
    2 1/2 c. cooked kidney beans (No. 2 can)
    1 1/3 c. condensed tomato soup
    1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1 Tbsp. flour
    3 Tbsp. water
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Brown the beef and onion in the butter (or bacon drippings). Add the beans and tomato soup and cook for 10 minutes.
    Add chili powder, flour, water and salt which has been mixed into a paste. Cook slowly for 45 minutes, stirring frequently.
    Serves 8.
