Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box chocolate cake mix
    3/4 c. margarine
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    14 oz. pkg. Kraft caramels
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. chocolate chips
    1 carton Cool Whip (8 or 12 oz.)
Preparation
    Mix cake mix as directed on package.
    Pour 1/2 of batter in 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Bake 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Melt caramels with milk and margarine.
    Take cake out of oven.
    Pour caramel mixture over cake.
    Add chips and nuts evenly over caramel mixture.
    Pour rest of batter over this and bake an additional 20 minutes.
    When cool, top with Cool Whip.
