Coconut Date Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick oleo
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped pitted dates
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1/3 c. chopped walnuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. Rice Krispies
Preparation
    Cook first 6 ingredients for 10 minutes.
    Stir constantly so it won't stick.
    Take off heat, add vanilla and Rice Krispies, mix, let cool slightly.
    Take a teaspoonful of mixture and make a ball. Butter hands to roll into a ball.
    Then roll in coconut flakes.
