English Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
    1 c. plain flour
    2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    3 Tbsp. water
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    4 large cooking apples, peeled and sliced (about 6 c.)
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Beat butter and brown sugar until pale and fluffy.
    Stir in flour, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and water until smooth and thick. Stir in pecans.
    Mound apples in a 9-inch pie plate.
    Mix sugar with remaining cinnamon and sprinkle over apples.
    Spoon pecan topping over apples in blobs.
    Bake on lowest rack in preheated 375\u00b0 oven for 45 to 50 minutes.
    Serve warm with ice cream.
    Makes 8 servings.
