Apple Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. water
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3 Tbsp. butter
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. milk
apples
Preparation

Boil together sugar, water, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Add butter and set aside. Mix together flour, baking powder and salt.
Add shortening.
Then add milk and stir.
Roll out dough.
Wrap apples (peel and core apples) with dough.
Dot with butter.
Put in baking dish.
Pour on syrup.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
