Grandma Mary'S Raisin Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. dark syrup
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    pie crust for double pie
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. water
    1 1/2 c. raisins
    2 tsp. margarine
Preparation
    In saucepan combine sugar, cornstarch, salt, water, syrup and raisins.
    Cook and stir until bubbly.
    Cook 2 minutes more. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice and margarine.
    Pour filling into pastry lined pie plate glass pie dish; filling will be thin.
    Cover with top crust.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 375\u00b0 and bake 30 minutes more or until crust is golden brown.
    Makes 8 servings.
