Fried Onion Rings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk
    1 egg, beaten
    pinch of salt
    dash of pepper
    enough flour to make a medium-thin batter
    3 or 4 large onions
    cooking oil
Preparation
    Combine milk, egg, salt and pepper.
    Add flour.
    Wash and cut onions crosswise into 1/4-inch slices and separate into rings.
    Dip rings one at a time in mixture and fry in deep hot oil (375\u00b0). Turn each ring only once so that both sides are very brown.
