Old Fashioned Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. milk
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/4 c. uncooked rice
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla or dash of nutmeg
Preparation
    Combine all the ingredients in a casserole.
    Bake, uncovered, 3 hours at 300\u00b0.
    During the first hour, stir 3 times with a fork so rice won't settle.
    After first hour, stir in 1/2 cup raisins, dates or figs.
