Microwave Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 medium green pepper, diced
    1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
    1 (16 oz.) can chili style or cut up whole tomatoes
    1 (15 1/2 oz.) can red kidney beans (undrained)
    1 can black beans, drained
    1/4 c. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    2 to 3 tsp. chili powder
    diced jalapeno peppers (to taste)
Preparation
    Crumble ground beef in two-quart casserole.
    Add the onion and green pepper.
    Cover with glass lid.
    Microwave on High for 5 minutes; stir and microwave on High for another 4 minutes or until meat is browned.
    Drain and stir in the remaining ingredients. Re-cover casserole dish.
    Microwave on Medium-high for 22 minutes. Let stand covered for 5 minutes.
    Before serving, sprinkle with shredded Cheddar cheese.
