Coconut Cake Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. water
    2 c. sugar
    1 pinch salt
    1 lb. coconut
    2 egg whites, well beaten
Preparation
    Mix sugar and water in saucepan and boil.
    Pour over beaten egg whites.
    Mix well.
    Add coconut and boil for 4 or 5 minutes. Spread on favorite cake layers.
