Merk'S Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 pt. sour cream
Preparation
    Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla; add eggs one at a time; beat well. Sift dry ingredients. Alternate dry ingredients with sour cream into shortening mixture. Grease and flour a tube pan. Place 1/2 of batter, 1/2 filling; remaining batter and filling on top. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
