Big Mama'S Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sugar
    2 c. canned milk
    pinch of salt
    2 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation
    Make a syrup with 3 1/2 cups of sugar, salt and milk.
    While this is coming to a boil, put the 1/2 cup remaining sugar in a pan until it is light in color.
    Add syrup mixture to browned sugar while stirring, but stir until dissolved.
    Remove from heat when forms a ball in cold water.
    Beat until creamy; add nuts and drop by spoonfuls on wax paper.
