Potato Buns - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large yeast cake
    2 c. warm water
    8 c. mashed potatoes (instant is fine)
    3 c. sugar
    2 c. shortening
    6 beaten eggs
    2 Tbsp. salt
    5 lb. flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast cake in warm water.
    Mix together with potatoes and sugar.
    Let rise 1 hour.
    Add shortening, eggs and salt.
    Beat well.
    Gradually add flour.
    Knead.
    Put in greased pan.
    Let rise until doubled in bulk or let rise overnight.
    Shape into rolls. Place on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 about 20 minutes until light brown.
    Best served warm with homemade jam.
