Deer Valley'S French Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1 1/2 c. warm water
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cooking oil or melted margarine
    4 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water.
    Add sugar; let sit until bubbly.
    Add oil, 2 cups flour and salt; beat.
    Gradually add remainder of flour until you have a soft dough.
    Knead well.
    Let rice once; shape.
    Slash tops with knife.
    Let rise again after shaping into 2 long loaves.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 until brown.
    If soft crust is desired, brush with melted butter.
