Squash Supreme - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 small yellow squash
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. liquid from cooked squash
    3/4 c. chopped green pepper
    1/2 tsp. salt
    paprika
    3 Tbsp. breadcrumbs
    1 c. grated cheese
Preparation
    Cook squash (cut in 1/2-inch rings) and onion until tender. Drain, saving liquid from squash. Melt butter; add flour gradually until smooth.
    Add 1/2 cup milk and 1/2 cup reserved liquid from squash.
    Cook until thick.
    Add salt, 1/2 cup cheese, green peppers and squash.
    Pour in buttered baking dish.
    Top with remaining cheese, crumbs and paprika.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until brown.
