Sweet And Sour Pork Chops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 thick loin chops
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 large yellow onion, sliced
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 rounded tsp. cornstarch
    1 c. pineapple juice
    1 tsp. brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. curry powder
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    2 Tbsp. white vinegar
    3 strips lemon peel
    3 Tbsp. tomato sauce
    1/3 c. almonds, finely chopped
Preparation
    Brown chops in oil; transfer to baking dish.
    Discard all but 2 tablespoons of oil and meat drippings.
    Lightly saute onion and garlic.
    Sprinkle cornstarch over this.
    Add everything else but almonds.
    Simmer, covered, for 5 minutes.
    Pour mixture over chops.
    Bake, covered, at 350\u00b0 for 1/2 hour.
    Sprinkle almonds on top.
    Bake, covered, another 1/2 hour.
