Cheese And Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 c. water
10 oz. chopped broccoli
1 medium onion
8 oz. Velveeta cheese
2 Tbsp. white pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 c. milk
1 c. half and half
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. cold water
Preparation

Bring water to boil in a 3-quart Dutch oven and add broccoli and onion.
Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Add cheese and seasonings, stirring until cheese melts.
Stir in milk, half and half and butter.
Cook over low heat until thoroughly heated.
Combine flour and 1/2 cup cold water, stirring until smooth.
Gradually add to broccoli mixture, stirring constantly.
Cook over heat until thickened.
Yields 2 1/2 quarts.
