Pepper Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 to 2 lb. lean beef round steak, cut into strips or cubed
2 Tbsp. margarine
2 Tbsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. water
2 c. vegetable juice
1 c. green onions
2 medium green bell peppers, cut into strips
2 large tomatoes, cut into wedges
3 c. hot, cooked rice
Preparation

Brown steak in margarine.
Add garlic powder, pepper, water, vegetable juice and onions.
Cover and simmer 30 minutes or until meat is tender.
Stir in pepper and gently fold in tomatoes.
Cook 10 minutes or until peppers are tender.
Serve over hot rice. Yields 6 servings.
