Real Scotch Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 sticks butter
Preparation
    Cream butter until light.
    Add flour, sugar and salt.
    Beat until stiff.
    Divide dough.
    Roll out between 2 sheets of wax paper to 1/4-inch thickness.
    Cut into shapes and lift with spatula.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
