Spicy Cabbage Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 bell pepper, chopped
1/2 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 (10 oz.) can Ro-Tel tomatoes, chopped
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 c. uncooked rice
1 cabbage, shredded
1/2 c. grated American cheese
Preparation

In a deep heavy skillet over moderately high heat, combine the beef, onion, garlic, bell pepper, oregano, salt and pepper, stirring constantly until brown.
Add the tomatoes, tomato sauce and rice and mix thoroughly.
In a buttered 9 x 13-inch casserole, arrange layers of the meat mixture, the cabbage and the cheese. Bake the casserole, covered, at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Serves 4 to 6.
