Steak Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. water
    2 small onions, chopped
    3 stalks celery
    2 carrots, sliced
    1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
    1 lb. lean beef, sliced
    4 Tbsp. beef base
Preparation
    Put the ingredients in crock-pot.
    Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.
    This should work in deep pot, covered, on low heat for 4 to 5 hours, but a crock-pot is so wonderful and so easy.
