Crumpets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. active dry yeast
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/4 c. warm water (about 110~)
    1/3 c. milk, at room temperature
    1 egg
    about 4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 c. all-purpose flour, unsifted
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    In a large bowl, combine yeast, sugar and water.
    Let stand until bubbly (about 15 minutes).
    Blend in milk, egg and 1 tablespoon of the butter.
    Add flour and salt and beat until smooth.
    Cover and let stand in a warm place until almost double (about 45 minutes).
