Easy Swiss Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. round steak
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1 can golden mushroom soup
    1/2 c. canned tomatoes
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Pound meat with hammer.
    Melt shortening in a skillet.
    Add meat, brown on both sides.
    Stir in remaining ingredients; cover. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally for 1 1/2 hours or until tender.
