Russian Cream Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 envelope Knox gelatine
    1/2 c. water
    1 c. sour cream
    1 1/2 tsp. clear vanilla
    1 c. Cool Whip
    strawberries (fresh or frozen)
Preparation
    In saucepan, stir in first 3 ingredients until dissolved. Remove from heat.
    Blend in sour cream and vanilla.
    Chill until slightly thickened.
    Blend in Cool Whip.
    Triple this for a large crowd.
    Put strawberries in middle and around.
