Funnel Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. plain flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. soda
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk
1 egg
cooking oil
powdered sugar
maple syrup (optional)
Preparation

Beat batter ingredients until very smooth.
Heat oil to 375\u00b0. Pour 1/4 cup batter into funnel, holding finger over opening. Swirl batter into hot oil by using a bull's eye circular pattern. Fry until brown, then turn with tongs.
Fry second side. Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve with hot maple syrup.
