My Grandma'S Penuche - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. cream
    2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Stir the first 5 ingredients in a saucepan.
    Cook over medium heat to a soft ball stage or 235\u00b0.
    Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla.
    Beat until smooth.
    Pour into an 8-inch pan.
