Hearty Cheese Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick butter
1/2 c. celery
1/2 c. carrots
3/4 c. onion
1/2 c. flour
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
4 c. chicken broth
4 c. milk
salt and pepper
1/8 tsp. soda
1 c. Cheddar cheese
parsley
Preparation

Saute celery, carrots and onion in butter slowly until soft. Mix flour and cornstarch into vegetables.
Add broth, milk, salt and pepper.
Stir over medium heat until mixture begins to thicken.
Remove from heat and add soda and cheese.
Serve with parsley sprinkled on top.
Freezes well.
