Country-Style Stuffed Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 green, red or yellow peppers
    8 oz. pork sausage
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1 1/2 c. cooked rice
    2 c. shredded mild Cheddar cheese
    1 medium tomato, chopped
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Remove tops, seeds and membranes from peppers.
    Crumble sausage into skillet.
    Cook with onion.
    Drain off fat.
    Add tomato and 1 1/2 cups
    cheese.
    Fill peppers with mixture; top with remaining cheese.
    Arrange in 9-inch square baking pan. Add 1/4 cup water.
    Bake for 30 minutes.
    Makes 4 servings.
