Butterscotch Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 Tbsp. butter
1 c. brown sugar
4 Tbsp. cornstarch
3 egg yolks
2 1/2 c. milk
1 pie crust
3 egg whites
9 Tbsp. sugar

Preparation

Cook brown sugar and butter until it smokes.
Add cornstarch, egg yolks and milk.
Cook until thick.
Pour in crust.
Mix egg whites and sugar to make meringue.
Spread over pie.
Brown in oven.
