Apples And Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. McIntosh apples, cored and sliced (approximately 4 large)
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 c. heavy or lite cream (1/2 pt.)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 unbaked 9-inch fluted deep dish pie shell
Preparation
    In a bowl, mix apples, 3/4 cup sugar, flour and cinnamon. Arrange apple slices in circles in the pie shell.
    In a small bowl, beat eggs, cream, vanilla and 1/4 cup sugar until well blended.
    Pour mixture evenly over top of apples.
    Bake in a preheated oven at 375\u00b0 for 40 minutes, covered with a piece of aluminum foil.
    Remove foil and continue baking another 30 minutes or until golden brown.
    Serve slightly warm.
