Dump Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can crushed pineapple (undrained)
    1 can cherry pie filling
    1 box dry cake mix (white or yellow)
    1 stick margarine, cut in small pieces
    1/2 to 1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Spread pineapple in bottom of 9 x 13-inch cake pan. Add cherry pie filling over pineapple. Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly on top of fruit. Spread cut up margarine over cake mix. Sprinkle walnuts on top. Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0. Watch toward end of time to avoid burning. Can be topped with whipped cream or Cool Whip after cake is thoroughly cooled.
