Pumpkin Spice Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 c. cooked, mashed pumpkin
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. allspice or ginger
1/2 c. milk
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. lemon flavor
Preparation

Cream first 3 ingredients together.
Blend in eggs and pumpkin.
Add dry ingredients alternately with milk.
Blend in nuts and lemon flavor.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven about 30 minutes in three 8-inch greased and floured cake pans.
Frost cooled layers with fluffy white frosting.
