Vegetable Rice Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 oz. jar sliced mushrooms, drained
    1/2 c. Minute rice, uncooked
    10 oz. pkg. frozen broccoli
    10 oz. pkg. frozen cauliflower
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 Tbsp. chopped onion
    1 can cream of chicken soup, undiluted
    1/4 c. milk
    3 oz. or full 1/2 c. Velveeta cheese cubes
    8 1/2 oz. can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Run hot water over frozen vegetables to thaw.
    Mix all ingredients.
    Bake, uncovered, in 2-quart baking dish for 35 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    (Sliced carrots may be added to make a more colorful dish.)
