Rice Krispies Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. chopped dates
    1 egg
    about 1/2 c. nuts
    2 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
    coconut
Preparation
    Combine first 4 ingredients in a saucepan.
    Cook until like a thin jam, about 10 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Add nuts and Rice Krispies.
    Mix well.
    Roll about 1 teaspoon at a time in coconut to form balls.
    Cool and store in airtight container.
    Makes 4 dozen.
