Aunt Mae Pearl'S Buttermilk Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    3 c. flour
    6 eggs
    1/2 bottle lemon extract
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cream 2 cups sugar with margarine or shortening.
    Add egg yolks, one at a time.
    Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture with milk.
    Beat egg whites with remaining 1 cup sugar. Add extract.
    Fold into batter.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 90 minutes.
