Pickled Beets Or Eggs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans beets, drained (can substitute eggs instead)
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Add enough water to beet liquid to measure 2 cups.
    Heat liquid mixture, sugar and vinegar.
    Pour over beets/eggs.
    Cover and refrigerate 12 hours.
