Vidalia Onions And Cucumbers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 medium cucumbers, peeled and sliced
    1 large Vidalia onion, sliced
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. cider vinegar
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 c. sugar
    black pepper to taste
Preparation
    Place cucumbers and onion in a bowl.
    Sprinkle with the salt and set aside.
    Combine vinegar, water, sugar and pepper in a small saucepan.
    Bring to a boil and pour over the vegetables. Let cool, then cover and refrigerate.
    Serve after the second or third day for maximum flavor.
