Chinese Pepper Steaks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. chuck-eye steak
    1 onion, cut in strips
    2 c. water
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1 green pepper, cut in strips
    2 beef bouillon cubes or lean beef bouillon
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch, mixed with a little water
    2 to 3 Tbsp. oil
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
Preparation
    Cut steaks into thin strips.
    Brown steaks and onion in hot oil.
    Add
    black pepper.
    Drain oil.
    Add water and bouillon. Cover
    and reduce heat.
    Simmer about 1 hour.
    Add green pepper and simmer 5
    to
    10
    minutes.
    Blend cornstarch with a little water.
    Add to broth and stir until slightly thickened. Add soy sauce.
    Serve hot over rice or egg noodles.
