Golden Layer Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. self-rising flour
    1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. shortening or butter
    1 c. canned milk
    3 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Preparation
    Cream the sugar and butter.
    Add eggs, mixing well.
    Alternate flour and milk, mixing well.
    Add vanilla.
    Pour into greased pans (two or three 9-inch pans).
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes or until done.
