Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. oats
1 stick butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Mix boiling water and oats and let stand for 20 minutes. Cream together shortening and sugar.
Add eggs and beat well.
Add oats mixture.
Add dry ingredients and mix well.
Bake in a greased sheet pan at 275\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
