Tea Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    4 Tbsp. shortening (margarine)
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    1/2 c. raisins
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients over shortening.
    Blend with pastry blender.
    Add raisins and buttermilk; mix.
    Knead until smooth. Roll out on board into log and slice with knife.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 10 minutes on an ungreased pan.
    Ice if desired.
