Pecan Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    2 egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. broken pecan pieces
Preparation
    Place first 3 ingredients in saucepan over low heat. Stir until sugar dissolves. Cook without stirring to 252\u00b0 (hard-ball stage). Remove from heat and pour in a fine stream into 2 stiffly beaten egg whites, stirring constantly. Continue beating until it holds its shape and loses gloss. Add vanilla and broken nuts. Drop quickly from tip of spoon onto waxed paper in peaks.
