Caramel Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. flour
2 level tsp. cornmeal
3 egg yolks
2 c. milk
1/4 c. margarine
1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
Preparation

In saucepan, combine brown sugar, sugar, flour, cornmeal, egg yolks, milk and margarine.
Cook until thick.
This takes about 25 to 30 minutes to boil down.
Stir frequently.
Pour filling into baked pie shell.
It's great with a meringue made of the 3 egg whites and 6 tablespoons sugar.
Beat until fluffy.
Spread over pie and place under broiler until lightly browned.
Serves 6 to 8.
