Strawberry Cake Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. fresh strawberries
    1 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 small 7-Up
    red food coloring
    1 carton heavy cream
    Cool Whip
Preparation
    Wash and slice strawberries.
    Cook sugar, cornstarch, 7-Up and food coloring until thick.
    Cool.
    Add cream (strawberries may be cooked in filling).
    Layer of filling and layer of Cool Whip between layers.
    (Can use frozen strawberries; thaw and drain, whole box.)
