Curried Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. oil
    3 onions, chopped
    1 (14.5 oz.) can whole tomatoes, drained or chopped
    2 Tbsp. curry powder or to taste
    2 c. rice
    4 c. water
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Brown onions in oil.
    Add tomatoes and curry powder; cook for 5 minutes.
    Bring water to boil.
    Add salt, then the curried mixture.
    Sprinkle in rice.
    Cover with a tight fitting lid; simmer for 20 minutes.
