Scripture Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter (Judges 5:25)
1 c. sugar (Jeremiah 6:20)
3 eggs (Isaiah 10:14)
3 Tbsp. honey (Genesis 43:11)
1/2 tsp. (Leviticus 2:13)
2 c. flour (1 Kings 4:22)
2 tsp. baking powder (Amos 4:5)
2 tsp. spices (1 tsp. each: cinnamon and nutmeg) (2 Chronicles 9:9)
1/2 c. milk (Judges 4:19)
1 c. figs (Nahum 3:12)
1 c. sliced almonds (Numbers 17:8)
1 c. raisins (1 Samuel 30:12)
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add honey and beaten egg yolks.
Add remaining dry ingredients mixed together alternately with milk. Stir in fruit and nuts.
Fold in beaten egg whites last.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for about 45 to 50 minutes in a 9 x 13-inch greased pan. Serve with whipped cream topping.
